During the month of December, East Cambridge Savings Bank customers and employees collected toys for Toys for Local Children, a Somerville based nonprofit organization that provides toys to local children and families in need. During this busy time of the year, it is amazing to see the generosity and kindness of our customers and employees who contributed to this effort. We are particularly thankful to West Medford Banking Center customer Felicia who donated over 100 toys! Felicia was determined to brighten the holidays for local children and ensure they have presents under the tree because in her words, "every child deserves one." Today, our President and Chief Executive Officer Gilda Nogueira welcomed Toys for Local Children volunteers Cindy Hickey, Mike Dwyer and Dave Smith to our Main Office to present the toys to the organization and a donation from the Bank. The toys will be sorted and delivered to children in time for Christmas.
We sincerely thank all customers and employees, especially Felicia, who made this toy drive a success. Thank you for making the holidays a special time for local children.
